I was sad to learn that this would be the last in this series as I enjoyed this one so much. The grown-up scenes were glossed over so don’t expect any really steamy scenes. I wanted this book to be better and there were a couple of times that I thought it could have been an adult Harry Potter. Such a different take on a paranormal romance. This book just wasn’t working for me. For example, when Sayblee and Felix have to conceal themselves among the local population, Sayblee teases Felix about his incompetence working at the local butcher.

Felix Valasay, a Croyant Sorcier, lives a playboy life. The novel reads a lot like a contemporary romance with sweet moments in a Paris parfumerie, baguettes and candlelight, and suspicious goings-on next door. Think I will continue the trilogy and see where it goes. Truly remarkable modernistic writing. Open Preview See a Problem? There was a few chapters I skimmed as it seemed to drag on. If you enjoy other series like this you will likely enjoy these books.
These characters probably would have been stronger if the prose were a little more unique, albeit there were some shining moments, e.
I absolutely loved this book, maybe because I am a sucker for fantasy. Sayblee Safipour, a Croyant Sorciere, has always struggled with her magic of fire. Want to Read saving…. I cant wait to see what happens with the rest of her characters. Received in the mail, must have won from LT. I got this at the library but will not be reading another jessicw by her. Believe Trilogy 3 books. The Croyant council insists that she is the one who has to go on an important mission with Felix to stop the enemy. I really felt like I was missing some information because I read the last book first.
As the attraction and connection between Miranda and Sariel grows stronger, Miranda begins to realize she’s not as different from Sariel as she initially thought she was. I didn’t like it enough to read the next two.
